SUMMARY:Inaugural yEBSA scientific seminar – Prof. Stefan W. Hell\, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry 2014
DESCRIPTION:Online. \nFor this inaugural yEBSA online scientific seminar\, we are thrilled to announce a talk from Prof. Stefan W. Hell\, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry 2014 and Director of the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences and the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research.  \nProf. Hell is an internationally recognized leader and pioneer in the biophysical field of super-resolution fluorescence microscopy. Mostly known for the invention and development STED-microscopy\, he overcame the Abbe diffraction limit that had constrained optical microscopy to moderate spatial resolutions for more than a century. After winning the Nobel Prize for this revolutionary technique\, Prof. Hell continued to push the boundaries of optical imaging by the development of MINFLUX\, achieving molecular and even sub-molecular resolution. These high-resolution imaging methods enable the investigation of living samples and the tracking of molecular trajectories within biological systems. \nThe seminar will take place on Tuesday 10th of February 2026. SUMMARY:Next Austrian NMR Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Klosterneuburg\, Austria. \nA new initiative by your fellow colleagues within the Austrian NMR community. \nThe event aims to provide a platform for the next generation of NMR spectroscopists in Austria and neighbouring countries to meet\, exchange ideas\, discuss their research and the challenges they face. It is designed around MSc\, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers presenting their work through talks and posters. \nThe goal is to unite the (existing and upcoming) community\, foster collaboration and innovation\, within and beyond Austria’s borders. \nThe meeting will bring together researchers working on protein structure and dynamics\, intrinsically disordered proteins\, RNA\, drug discovery and delivery\, selective labelling\, EPR\, DNP\, and more. In this first edition of what is hoped will become a long-standing tradition\, the meeting is combined with a satellite workshop: “NMR in drug discovery” (February 25th\, 2026).
