SUMMARY:Computational Biology - from Molecules to Tissues
DESCRIPTION:Coimbra\, Portugal. \nThe Summer School in Computational Biology was founded in 2015 by the Computational Biology Network at the University of Coimbra as a means to facilitate access to the Computational Biology field by students and researchers with either biological or exact sciences backgrounds. In the first two weeks of September each year we receive 20 – 30 international students who wish to acquire skills in Computational Biology. The course is intensive and targeted to students from the M. Sc. to post-doctoral levels with limited or no previous exposure to the field\, although applications from B. Sc. students with outstanding CVs/skills are also considered. \nIt offers a broad perspective on the field and has four main components: \n\nIntroductory lectures on mathematics and physics for biologists\, and biology for exact sciences students (parallel tracks)\nLectures on specialized Computational Biology topics\nSeminars by leading scientists on recent developments\nSmall research projects where the students have the opportunity to apply the acquired skills to real research problems\n\nKeywords: Computational biology / Modelling of biosystems / Kinetic modelling / Molecular dynamics.

SUMMARY:13th International Conference Structure & Stability Of Biomacromolecules "SSB 2025"
DESCRIPTION:Kosice\, Slovak Republic. \nThe conference traces its origins to 1999\, when its inaugural session\, “Structure and Stability of Proteins\,” was held as a small local meeting. Over the past two decades\, it has grown into an international\, multidisciplinary platform that brings together scientists from diverse fields. The program is designed to foster dynamic discussions among both junior and senior researchers\, covering a broad spectrum of topics\, including molecular biophysics\, biochemistry\, biology\, and protein chemistry. Special focus will also be given to the current advancements\, emerging developments\, and future trends in bio- and nanotechnologies. A reduced fee is offered for Ph.D. students to support the participation of young scientists. \nThe young scientists are invited to participate in “The Young Scientist Award” competition for the best oral and poster presentation. Furthermore\, the Slovak Biophysical Society will support the participation of several selected young researchers (under 35 years old) at the conference by reimbursing the conference fee. Visit the conference website to learn more about the conference and how to apply.

SUMMARY:Biomembrane days 2025\, Berlin
DESCRIPTION:Harnack-Haus\, Berlin\, Germany. \nMembranes form the intricately shaped compartments of life. The Biomembrane Days are a triannual workshop that highlights recent advances in understanding the morphology and molecular organization of biomimetic and biological membranes. Central topics of the Biomembrane Days 2025 include the dynamics and interactions of cells and cellular organelles\, giant vesicles as synthetic cell systems\, membrane protein function\, and active cellular processes. \nFind out more here: https://events.mpikg.mpg.de/event/15/
