DESCRIPTION:Italy. \nThe “A. Corbella” International School on Organic Synthesis (ISOS) has a long tradition\, which dates back to 1976. Named after its cofounder Attilio Corbella\, who passed away prematurely in 1978\, the School is sponsored by the Organic Chemistry Division of Società Chimica Italiana (SCI) and organized under the direction of the Department of Chemistry of the Università degli Studi di Milano. \nThe School is mainly directed to Ph.D. students and young researchers coming both from University and Industry. It normally attracts close to 100 students\, including the best graduate students from all the main Italian and European Universities. \nThe lectures span all aspects of modern synthetic Organic Chemistry and focus on research topics at the cutting-edge of organic chemistry and related areas\, such as analytical chemistry\, materials\, innovative enabling technologies. \nThe summer school is expected to take place in June 2026 (precise dates not yet known as of 14/9-2025) \nKeywords: Organic Chemistry / summer school / advanced scientific training\, tradition and innovation.

SUMMARY:Computational Biology - from Molecules to Tissues
DESCRIPTION:Coimbra\, Portugal. \nThe Summer School in Computational Biology was founded in 2015 by the Computational Biology Network at the University of Coimbra as a means to facilitate access to the Computational Biology field by students and researchers with either biological or exact sciences backgrounds. In the first two weeks of September each year we receive 20 – 30 international students who wish to acquire skills in Computational Biology. The course is intensive and targeted to students from the M. Sc. to post-doctoral levels with limited or no previous exposure to the field\, although applications from B. Sc. students with outstanding CVs/skills are also considered. \nIt offers a broad perspective on the field and has four main components: \n\nIntroductory lectures on mathematics and physics for biologists\, and biology for exact sciences students (parallel tracks)\nLectures on specialized Computational Biology topics\nSeminars by leading scientists on recent developments\nSmall research projects where the students have the opportunity to apply the acquired skills to real research problems\n\nKeywords: Computational biology / Modelling of biosystems / Kinetic modelling / Molecular dynamics.

SUMMARY:Internships in GPU-based molecular dynamics simulations
DESCRIPTION:Roskilde\, Denmark. \nThe Glass and Time center at Roskilde University invites students at the graduate or undergraduate levels to\napply for summer internships. The internships begin Monday the 4th of August and ends on Friday 29th August 2025. \nAfter an introduction to GPU-based molecular dynamics\, you will perform a molecular-dynamics study of a\nwell-defined\, fundamental scientific question in liquid-state theory or beyond. Glass and Time has exclusive\naccess to a GPU-cluster with more than 1\,000 TFLOP peak performance. Each student helps formulate a\nscientific problem to be simulated and is assigned a supervisor \nKeywords: RUMD / Molecular Dynamics / Isomorph Theory / Glass Transition

SUMMARY:School on Biological Physics and Biomolecular Simulations in the Machine Learning Era
DESCRIPTION:São Paulo\, Brazil. \nThe re-emergence of Machine Learning (ML) in the last decade has started to revolutionize the way we think about science\, technology\, and even our everyday lives. ML has rapidly become a significant part of research across all scientific areas\, including the physical sciences. This school attempts to capture the recent excitement about ML in general and for biophysical and biomolecular systems in particular\, addressing participants with various backgrounds ranging from biology or biotechnology to physics. \nThe school’s purpose is threefold: a) to provide a theoretical foundation from the physicists’ perspective\, b) to cross-pollinate different theoretical\, experimental\, and computational approaches\, and c) to develop an overarching perspective that would tie together the various phenomena from biomolecular simulation and electrostatic interactions on the molecular scale to collective behaviour of macroscopic biological entities in a unified approach within an ML framework. \nKeywords: Machine Learning / Molecular Dynamics / Biomolecules
