The EMBO Workshop “Physics of Cells: PhysCell2026” focuses on understanding how fundamental physical principles govern the behavior of living cells across scales, from proteins to tissues. It brings together physicists, chemists, and biologists to promote interdisciplinary exchange between theory and experiments, covering topics such as biomolecular condensates, synthetic cells, chromosome organization, and cellular mechanics. The meeting also encourages participation from early-career researchers through talks, posters, and a preparatory summer school.
