12th International Conference on Biological Physics

28 June 3 July CEST

Genoa, Italy.

Experts in biological physics worldwide are invited to the International Conference on Biological Physics 2026 (ICBP 2026) in the magnificent Italian city of Genoa from June 28 to July 3, 2026. The Italian Society of Pure and Applied Biophysics (SIBPA) is privileged to organise this meaningful conference under the auspices of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP). Specifically, the Commission on Biological Physics (C6), established by IUPAP in 1990, aims to promote the exchange of information and views among the members of the international scientific community in the general field of Biological Physics.

Since the inaugural meeting at Szeged, Hungary in 1993, the International Conference on Biological Physics has been held in celebrated places around the world; including Munich (1995), Santa Fe, New Mexico (1998), Kyoto (2001), Gothenburg (2004), Montevideo (2007), San Diego (2011), Beijing (2014), Rio de Janeiro (2017), Madrid (2019) and Seoul (2023). Continuing this rich tradition and success, the 12th conference will be held in Genoa, Italy in 2026.

The ICBP 2026 scientific programme will propose high-quality scientific sessions that provide deeper knowledge and new perspectives on biological physics themes. The program will be a highly rewarding international platform for all participants and contribute to enhancing the scientific level and quality of our field in basic and applied research, including technology transfer.

Specifically, ICBP 2026 is a multidisciplinary conference. Regardless of the field of mathematics, physics, chemistry, engineering, biology or information science, we invite researchers to discuss new ideas and opportunities for the immediate future.
