Post-doctoral position in electrophysiology
Fulltime (40 hrs/week), starting at the earliest possible timepoint. The duration is currently limited to a two-year period. Remuneration is equivalent to personnel rates of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), with gross annual salary of € 54.453.

Job specification
You will be required to independently conduct electrophysiological experiments (patch clamp) under various experimental conditions in human donor tissue. The aim of the study is a seminal electrophysiological analysis and characterization of neurons in the choroid of the human eye.
The project will be in cooperation with the electrophysiological research laboratory of the Department of Cardiology, Internal Medicine II, at the University Clinic Salzburg, Austria, and the Institute of Physiology of Paracelsus Medical University.
Job requirements
The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree in life sciences or medical sciences. He/she will have experience in electrophysiology, and the ability to independently design and conduct patch clamp experiments. Expertise in immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy is desired, but can otherwise be acquired on site.
