Details of Dresden's cultural, social and building history will be explained as well as the modern way of life in the "Florence at the river Elbe".

Conference Dinner (included in conference fee)

On Tuesday, the conference dinner will be held at the Terrace Level of the ICCD. In a relaxed atmosphere, a small dinner buffet, drinks and entertainment will be offered. From the terrace at the banks of the river Elbe you can enjoy the fantastic view of the historic city centre.

After the last scientific session, a farewell cocktail will be offered. 

Optional tour: Bus trip to Meissen (EUR 65.00 per person)
Thursday, July 23, 2015, 10:00-17:00

On Thursday - the day after the conference - we offer a bus trip to the picturesque city of Meissen. On the way to Meissen, we will have a short photo break at the castle of Moritzburg in the hunting area of king August the Strong. Afterwards, you will experience how a piece of art is created while having a guided tour through the demonstration manufactory of the famous porcelain manufactory. During a guided tour through the historic city centre you will be shown the most important sights of the medival city.

The tour includes bus transfer and lunch at a traditional restaurant.

Return:
17:00 at the main entrance of the ICCD.
On request, participants can be dropped off at Dresden main station.
